Client:
Ministry of Finance of Saskatchewan - Regina, SK

Client's Request:
To develop an automatic data collecting system for sales tax exempt claims

KLN's Contribution:
Software engineering

Outcome:
The application software for the data capture at the point of sale (POS) and for the data communication between the POS terminals and the host computer was developed, allowing for individual retail on-line account status interrogation and update from each terminal. This system allows for paperless claims processing. It is now being tested and, if well accepted, will be implemented in Saskatchewan, one of Canada's provinces.
