Spinning Machine Upgrade

Client:
Siegs Manufacturing Ltd. - Langley, BC

Client's Request:
To upgrade a metal spinning machine, used in the manufacturing process of round sheet metal parts, from relay technology to PLC standard.

KLN's Contribution:
Electronic and software engineering of the upgrade and commissioning of the system.

Outcome:
The relay controller was substituted with a PLC and the electromagnetic relays were replaced with solid state ones. While KLN's software engineers were developing the PLC program, KLN's electrical personnel exchanged and upgraded the old wiring. Siegs Manufacturing enjoys trouble free operation with practically no downtime since the conversion.
